Curio Clash #1

When I chose 25/28mm, I soon discovered that I would have a lot of work to do if I ever wanted to run a Civil War scenario in this scale. I haven't found ACW to be a popular period in my area, let alone 25mm ACW.  So, needless to say, if I wanted to embarke on this journey, I would have to shoulder the load of painting hundreds of models on my own (purchasing/constructing a lot of terrain as well). I am very close to being able to run some of the smaller fights and hope to host a Fox's Gap scenario later this winter, but I still have a lot of work ahead of me in order to table the stands necessary for the larger scenarios. As I mentioned in one of my first entries, instead of packing my work away in storage bins I like to put it on display in my basement curio cabinet. What I have on display at the moment is not based on a historical battle. Up next some WW2.

Jason,

Thanks for checking out the site. Dude, it's nice to finally find another 25mm ACWer. Even better, you know Jaye and have played at his house. He and I have talked about running a RF&F or BP scenario (Fox's Gap) sometime in Jan or Feb. Depending on how you have your stuff based we may be able to combine for something larger. Email me and we can talk more.

I cant find a email button or anything. Mine is jason.a.dieter@gmail just hit me up anytime and we can compare stuff andfigure out a big BP or RFF game. I also have foundrys bull run to gettysburg rules and honestly they are pretty good. Unlike their unplayable Nappy rules.....

Maybe between the two of you we have enough to get a game on!

Oh, it's on alright. I have enough of my own stuff to run that small Fox Gap scenario end Jan - mid Feb (I need to get some roads and stone walls finished). I'd like to run the RF&F since you have knowledge of F&F and it sounds like Jason knows RFF. If there is enough interest in 25mm ACW to run a game once every 6 weeks or so but there is a desire for a different set of rules, I have no problem with that. As long as we can run some historical scenarios from time time, it's all good with me. Beyond that, Jason and I have already been talking about combining forces for something larger.

Yep! And still painting away! Now i have more incentive and we can prob run a decent size game right now. RFF is good, black powder good but too generic,The foundry rules are actually a good middle ground betwwen the two. I dont care! Just wanna push lead
